Gomora United won the 2024/25 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs after beating The Bees 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Sunday afternoon.
Xola Mosiea opened the scoring in the 21st minute and Moses Mokasi increased the lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute to put Gomora in command of the match. But Lebogang Lingela pulled one back for The Bees in the 83rd minute to ensure a frantic finish to the game.
The two finalists, Gomora and The Bees, and third-place finishers Midlands Wanderers have all gained promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the conclusion of the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs on Sunday.
Gomora walk away with R1,250 00, the glittering trophy and gold medals, while The Bees will pocket R600 000 and silver.
