Celebrating sport excellence and community spirit; two things which the Namibia Sport Expo and TuksSport have in common. And, this year, TuksSport and HPC will be represented at the Expo by Mr Steven Ball, TuksSport Director & Acting CEO of HPC. With the event taking place in Swakopmund, Namibia, from 30 October – 1 November 2025, Mr Ball will join an esteemed panel of speakers who will share their expertise and knowledge by exploring topics of Development, Inclusion, Innovation, and Sustainability in Sport.
Most recently, we held our TuksSport Annual Colours and Awards Function, and, as we look back and acknowledge the University of Pretoria Vice Chancellor and Principal, we quote from his speech: “Sport is a vital part of the university’s heartbeat, and cannot be viewed separately from the academic journey.” He further continued, “TuksSport is deeply entwined with UP’s very DNA. Over the years, it has evolved into a dominant sporting powerhouse in South Africa across the African continent and on the global stage.” And, what befitting words these were as Mr Ball embarks on his journey to represent TuksSport at this Premier Sports Gathering.
Speaking to Mr Ball ahead of the Expo, he stated, “ As TuksSport, we believe in the power of sport within the African Continent and, by being involved in the Namibia Sport Expo is, our way of contributing to the footprint of sport on the continent. Sport has a huge role and is a powerful tool in building nations, creating unity and influencing national pride”.
The expo aims to promote holistic athlete development and community engagement to inspire and elevate the sports landscape. It will bring together the best minds in sports to create a healthier, more active nation. And, as we are proudly represented, may the StripeGeneration continue to leave an indelible mark on the global sporting stage.
