TuksRugby – 2025 USSA Champions
TuksSport, the sport division of the University of Pretoria, will host an official send-off for student-athletes selected to represent the University at the 2026 USSA Championships and the Commonwealth Games. The event taking place at Future Africa on the 25th of June, celebrates the pursuit of excellence that defines UP sport.
The send-off will honour the student-athletes who have earned national and international selection through years of discipline, academic balance, and elite performance. It also marks a milestone in TuksSport’s strategic elevation of its sport programs — from the field to podium finishes.
Excellence in Action
University of Pretoria student-athletes continue to set the standard nationally. In the past year, Tuks athletes have secured national colours, broken records, and competed with distinction on global stages. This year’s USSA and Commonwealth contingent represents the next chapter in that journey.
Building Champions, On and Off the Field
The send-off is more than just an opportunity to wish our student-athletes well at the upcoming competitions. It’s a testament to who we are as TuksSport. We strive to build athletes who lead with integrity, resilience and heart. Athletes who are proud to be part of the Stripe generation and part of the UP journey, which guides them from potential to performance and from effort to excellence. With the support of our sponsor, BestMed, and our partners, SEMLI and hpc, we continually build on our programmes through better coaching, sports science, medical, and academic support, in the pursuit of excellence, which is demonstrated by our student-athletes who will compete in the weeks ahead. said Nicola Macleod, Deputy Director: Coaching and Performance, TuksSport.
