PEP continued its commitment to empowering young girls through sport by hosting a vibrant PEP Mini Netball Festival at Laerskool Wynland in Worcester on Saturday, 1 August 2026.
The festival brought together learners from participating schools for an exciting morning of netball, learning and teamwork. Running from 08h00 to 13h00, the event featured interactive skills activities and friendly matches designed to help young players improve their abilities, build confidence and develop a lifelong passion for the sport.
Held during Women’s Month, the festival celebrated the important role sport plays in empowering girls by creating opportunities for personal growth, leadership and teamwork from an early age. The event reinforced PEP’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, inclusive spaces where young athletes can thrive both on and off the court.
The Worcester festival forms part of the nationwide PEP Mini Netball programme, which continues to strengthen grassroots netball across South Africa by introducing more girls to the sport and nurturing future talent in communities.
Through initiatives such as the PEP Mini Netball Festival, PEP remains dedicated to investing in youth development, encouraging healthy lifestyles and inspiring the next generation of girls to dream big, work together and reach their full potential.
