The University of Pretoria, TuksSport and TuksAthletics in consultation with our title sponsor Sappi, announce the cancellation of the 2026 Sappi Tuks Night Race.
The decision follows the unforeseen power failure on the 9th of September affecting the Hillcrest Sport Campus, which resulted in the loss of essential route lighting. As a result, the 2026 edition could not continue.
We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience. We know how much this race means to our running community. The safety of our runners, staff and volunteers will always be our first priority.
Due to this cancellation, all registered entrants for the 2026 Sappi Tuks Night Race will receive a full refund.
REFUND PROCESS
1. Online entries will receive communication via Entry Ninja, and card payments will be reversed with funds reflecting in three to five working days
2. Any purchases made in-store will be refunded by TuksSport. Please complete the form here to claim your refund. For any queries, please email tukssportrace@up.ac.za
