Women’s month is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder of strength. Of resilience. Of women who show up even when it’s hard.
This August, at TuksSport, we are celebrating women who do exactly that – on the court, on the road, on the field and in the lecture rooms.
TuksNetball – A powerhouse on the court – Led by Coach Amanda Mynhardt. This year’s squad is a true powerhouse. It’s a blend of experienced leaders, players and strong newcomers who bring versatility, youth, power and resilience to the court. These players have not just been preparing for games, they have been preparing to represent the stripe.
On the 1st weekend of Varsity Netball, TuksNetball will open their campaign against the University of the Freestate and against the defending Champions NWU.“This team embodies what Women’s Month is about”, says Coach Amanda Mynhardt. “Strength isn’t just physical. It’s showing up for each other. It’s resilience when the pressure is on. These ladies are ready to be formidable.”

A powerful force on the road – Sappi Tuks Night Race

Women are training after work. Running with prams. Training before and after class. Cheering each other on in club groups. Whether it’s 5km’s or 10 km’s, these women are all a powerful force. They are proving that wellness, community and joy are all synonymous.

The TuksNetball ladies preparing to start their 2026 Varsity Netball campaign and the women of the Sappi Tuks Night Race – a community preparing to light up the night, one kilometer at a time.
Different jerseys. Different Goals. same DNA. Strength. Resilience. Power.
