- The criminal charges of rape against South African Police Services National Deputy Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya, where he was grooming a young girl, and more other charges are extremely serious. This is especially so because he is a high ranking police officer who is involved.
- The court must show no mercy against any accused of rape. This is really a big blow against the fight against Gender Based Violence.
- We urged the police investigating team to do a proper investigation, so that the case can stand the test before court. We do not want the case to be bungled like the case of Nigerian Pastor Timothy Omotoso. The case was thrown out of court because of shody investigation.
- We want to applaud the police for showing the country that no one is above the law. Whether one is a police general or an ordinary citizen without any status, the law will deal with them.
